Johannes Partners With D’Addario Strings
We’re excited to announce that multi-award winning Latin guitarist Johannes Linstead has officially partnered with D’Addario, one of the largest string manufacturers for musical instruments in the world.
Linstead is considered a virtuoso on the guitar, showcasing fast scales while maintaining an exquisite flair for composing gorgeous melodies. His albums have charted in the Top Ten on Billboard in the US, garnered seven “Best Album” awards, and have earned him the title of “Guitarist of the Year” in Canada. You can hear his music on many popular television series, including Californication, Burn Notice, The Following, Person Of Interest, and Pawn Stars, to name a few. Linstead and his group tour regularly across North America and abroad.
Though the company was formally founded in 1974, the D’Addario family has a history of making strings that dates back all the way to the 1600s. Today the company is considered the premier string manufacturer with their wide array of products being used by many of the top musicians in the industry. Today we add Johannes Linstead to that esteemed list.
Another thing D’Addario and Johannes share the love of nature and working to preserve its’ beauty. In 2006, Johannes founded Divine Earth for such a purpose. After decades of pioneering efforts in sustainable packaging, D’Addario has created an industry-wide string recycling initiative called PlayBack, powered by TerraCycle, to reward players for recycling any brand of strings.
In addition to caring about the environment D’Addario is also committed to helping musicians by way of the D’Addario Foundation which provides grants for up-and-coming musicians and not-for-profit music instruction programs all over the world.
As Johannes states, “Partnering with such an amazing company like D’Addario is truly such an honor. I am proud to be part of a family that cares not only about musicians but also the world we live in. We share this common message that together we can create beautiful music and a beautiful world.”
